Boarding Policies & Procedures
Will my dog be able to play with other dogs?
Playtime with other dogs is determined at the time of boarding and is determined by age, sex, neutered or unneutered, and of course personality. Interaction will only be allowed if we determine that everyone let out together in groups can play nicely. We always let all dogs outside at the same time into their own chain link area for safety. Some dogs, especially unneutered males or seniors are not good candidates for group play. Scheduled outdoor playtimes are 7am, 12pm, & 4pm (weather permitting). For your peace of mind, pictures are taken during morning playtime (weather permitting) and sent to your cell phone. Remember, we always have you & your dog’s best interest in mind.

General Rules:
-
We provide everything your dog’s needs to be comfortable and have fun. We provide bowls & beds. Any toys or treats brought from home will be assessed for safety. We do not allow anything we consider a choking hazard. Rawhide toys are prohibited.
-
Food must be well labeled with name and feeding instructions. Our normal routine is to feed once in the morning and once in the evening. We ask that you bring enough food for your dog’s stay plus a little extra in case you are detained and cannot pick up as planned. We also ask that you bring your dog’s normal diet. Please do not bring food or treats that your dog does not get at home as this may cause stomach upset and will not make for a pleasant stay for anyone. Please inform us if your dog has allergies on your check-in form.
-
We do not administer injections.
-
All medications must be in the original container.
-
Proof of UTD vaccinations must be submitted when booking an appointment. DHPP, Bordetella, & Rabies are required. Canine influenza is NOT kennel cough. Please speak to your vet for more information on Canine Influenza. We cannot guarantee that your dog(s) will not contract a communicable disease while boarding, but we do our best to keep everyone healthy during their stay. We also require that your dog be on a flea and tick program. If it is determined that your dog has fleas or ticks, it will be bathed with flea & tick shampoo at an extra charge to you.
-
Puppies must be at least 13 weeks old and have had 3 sets of puppy vaccinations.
-
We do not accept senior dogs past the age of 14 or that have health issues that would not make them good candidates for a boarding environment.
-
We do not board dogs that are in, going into, or coming out of a heat cycle. Holiday deposits will not be refunded for last minute cancellations due to dogs being in heat (7 day cancellation notice still applies).
What to expect when you pick up you dog:
Your dog may be tired. Boarding is a fun and exciting place to be, but it can also be exhausting. You dog may go home and find their favorite place and crash for a few hours. We try to keep the dogs as clean as possible but when dogs play outside, they may or may not get dirty. We do offer baths for them if you wish at an extra charge, just let us know ahead of time.
These rules are subject to change without notice.
Again thank you and if you have any questions or concerns feel free call us.
