Boarding Policies & Procedures

Will my dog be able to play with other dogs?
Playtime with other dogs is determined at the time of boarding and is determined by age, sex, neutered or unneutered, and of course personality. Interaction will only be allowed if we determine that everyone let out together in groups can play nicely. We always let all dogs outside at the same time into their own chain link area for safety, so they can see and interact with others safely. Some dogs, especially unneutered males or seniors are not good candidates for group play. Scheduled outdoor playtimes are 7am, 12pm, & 4pm (weather permitting). For your peace of mind, pictures are taken during morning playtime (weather permitting) and sent to your cell phone. Remember we have you & your dog’s best interest in mind while they are here.

Check in/Check out

Monday-Saturday  8-10am & 3-4pm

Sunday  8-9:30am & 3-4pm

No check in or out on major holidays. Major holidays require a 3-day minimum stay paid in advance. To get a refund for holiday cancelations a 7-day notification is required. Holiday boarding appointments made “just in case my mother can’t keep my dog” is not fair to others who may be looking for accommodations for their dog, therefore charging in advance prevents this from happening. Your understanding is appreciated.

Our rates are structured like “people hotel rates”. You pay for the day your dog comes in; regardless of the time your dog arrives. Your last day is free if you pick your dog up before 10am M-F or 9:30am Sun. Dogs picked up between 3-4pm will be charged a full day. We do not have weekly rates. Payments can be made with cash, Venmo or CashApp. We do not accept credit cards.

General Rules:
Be prepared to fill out forms when you check your dog in each time. We are required by AKC to keep detailed records on each guest.

  1. We provide everything your dog’s needs to be comfortable and have fun. If you feel you would like to bring your dog’s own bed or blanket it must be new or freshly washed. We do not allow soiled items to be brought into our buildings. We do provide bowls. Any toys or treats brought from home will be assessed for safety. We do not allow anything we consider a choking hazard. Rawhide toys are prohibited.

  2. Food must be well labeled with name and feeding instructions. Our normal routine is to feed once in the morning and once in the evening. We ask that you bring enough food for your dog’s stay plus a little extra in case you are detained and cannot pick up as planned. We also ask that you bring your dog’s normal diet. We have found that a few pet owners have brought things that their dog does not usually have at home. This may cause stomach upset and does not make for a pleasant stay for anyone. For new dogs that may be stressed due to being in a new environment, we do add a little no-sodium broth to its food if it has not started eating within a few hours after arriving, unless the owner specifies otherwise. Please inform us if your dog has allergies on your check-in form.

  3. We do not charge for medication. All medications must be in its original container. You will be asked to fill out a medication instruction form. We also administer diabetes medications that are prescribed by your veterinarian.

  4. Please make sure your dog has an identification tag or is microchipped.

  5. All dogs must be current on vaccinations. DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies. DHPP and Bordetella is required yearly. Rabies come in either 1- or 3-year vaccinations. Canine influenza is optional please check with your vet for their recommendation for canine influenza vaccine. We need unexpired records from vet before your arrival. If you bring them the day of drop off and your dog is for some reason not current on vaccinations, you will need to take them home. So, it is a good idea to be sure we get them beforehand. We will provide you with an email address for your vet. We also suggest that your dog be on a flea and tick program. If it is determined that your dog has fleas or ticks, it will be bathed with flea & tick shampoo at an extra charge to you.

  6. Puppies must be at least 3 months old and have had 3 sets of puppy vaccinations.

  7. We do not board dogs that are in, going into, or coming out of a heat cycle.

  8. If grooming services are wanted during your dog’s stay, please let us know at the time of booking so that we can put him/her on our grooming schedule. We may not always be able to work your dog into our grooming schedule for last minute boarding appointments.

What to expect when you pick up you dog:
Your dog may be tired. Boarding is a fun and exciting place to be, but it can also be exhausting. You dog may go home and find their favorite place and crash for a few hours.
We try to keep the dogs as clean as possible but when dogs play outside, they may or may not get dirty. We do offer baths for them if you wish at an extra charge, just let us know ahead of time.

These rules are subject to change without notice.
Again thank you and if you have any questions or concerns feel free call us.
